Another representative of the "classic wines" line by Gramp & Sons is "Jacob's Creek" Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon Classic. The grapes, having reached optimal ripeness, are harvested, destemmed, and pressed. The must is then fermented on the skins for 7–10 days at a controlled temperature. The wine was aged in separate batches according to the varietal composition and was blended only before bottling. As a result, the wine acquired the necessary fruity juiciness and refined tannins, while its aroma captivates with delicate cherry notes and spicy nuances.
"Jacob's Creek" Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon is a bronze medalist at the "China W&S Awards" in 2014.
The history of Gramp & Sons began in 1847. As an immigrant from Bavaria, Johann Gramp deeply missed the taste of fine wine from his homeland. He then decided to grow grapes himself. On the banks of the picturesque Jacob's Creek, Johann Gramp planted his first grapevines. He dreamed of creating wines that would reflect the true character of the local land. This concept is still adhered to by the winemakers of the company, who produce wines that convey the authentic character of grapes grown on the fertile land under the warm Australian sun.
Jacob's Creek wines are known worldwide and renowned for their excellent quality. The company has won a vast number of awards at regional and international competitions. The Jacob's Creek Visitor Centre, created at the winery, has also been recognized. In 2012, it was named "Best Tourism Winery" and "Best Tourism Restaurant."
